Wednesday dinner. 5 course tasting menu with matching wine pairing. Very generous portions, great culinary experience. Service was good but could be improved. Also worth noting, the restaurant has a lovely outside area and we took a glass of wine for a little pause between courses. Highly recommend.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Celebrated my partners 50th birthday here with friends. 5 courses and paired wines, one vegetarian. The most lovely and special experience. Highly recommend and good value for money. I know people will say it’s expensive BUT honestly worth it for what you get included compared to other restaurants. Thank you

I went there for Sunday lunch with my family. I’ll cut to the chase - book it and go, if there’s actually any space left. The value is unbelievable for the quality of food. This would cost at least double in London and at least 50% more in a neighbouring city. What comes out of that small kitchen is impressive. A deft touch, precise cooking and extremely well judged seasoning. Support this restaurant. If you live in Newark then you have to go. If you live within an hours drive you should absolutely go. If you’re driving up the A1, you need to pop in. I’ve been eating all over the world this year (and previous ones), and this gem was on my doorstep all along.

Exquisite food the bread and butters were amazing. The cheddar and pineapple hedgehog was out of this world and as someone who doesn’t have a sweet tooth, I finished all of my deserts. The chocolate, summer berries and radish desert was mind blowing. The owner was lovely. Made a big effort to speak to us and treated his chefs brilliantly. Was so nice watching him coach them and give them feedback... but also joke with them and he always had a smile on his face. He seemed like a great person. Fantastic restaurant.

We had a fantastic meal here just before Christmas for my birthday. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was just stunning. Perfect portions and beautifully displayed. This was Michelin level food but without the Michelin price tag. Just fantastic. Can’t wait to go again.

Fantastic fine dining experience for our Anniversary. The tasting menu was exquisite and we thoroughly enjoyed every dish. The wine pairings were also fantastic and the staff were informative on both the dish and the wine and how the flavours work together. A real treat, thank you for such a warm welcome, we can’t wait to come again!

I had the pleasure of dining at Taylor’s yesterday with my wife and our 5-year-old son, and it was an experience worth celebrating. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and the attentive staff went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect. Not only was the service impeccable—gracious, efficient, and effortlessly polished—but they also showed genuine kindness towards our son, making us feel truly at ease. It’s rare to find such a refined restaurant that is equally child-friendly, and we greatly appreciated their thoughtful gestures. The food was nothing short of exquisite. Every dish was a masterpiece—expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour. The culinary craftsmanship was evident in every bite, making it a dining experience to savour and remember. The atmosphere was equally delightful—elegant, inviting, and intimate, creating the perfect setting for a memorable evening. The seamless blend of sophistication and warmth is what makes Taylor’s truly stand out. I cannot recommend Taylor’s Fine Dining highly enough. Taylor’s is a shining gem in Newark. We will most certainly be returning. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for a truly exceptional evening.

This place knows food. Our meal last night was absolutely incredible. The king prawn ravioli is one of those dishes I’ll remember for years. Every dish to be fair was delicious as was the wine. All the team are friendly, professional and knowledgable. How this place is not recognised in the Michelin guide puzzles me. Price also a lot more palatable than its competitors in Nottingham. Can’t recommend this place enough
